Need help testing an event

As many of you know, I'm on the PvP Event Committee. I'm testing a new event for stalkers this Saturday at noon pacific and I need a few bodies for them to hunt. Any AT would be welcome so long as it is over level 30. Please RSVP if you are willing! Thanks!

RESISTANCE

The PvP102 class is this Friday the 13th at 5pm PST/8pm EST. I will be sneaking in there a bit late and can hopefully stay for a few rounds of the tournament if someone wants to team with me!

I am also running the Gladiator Tourney on Test, and the Justice and Triumph Super Mixed Pentad Preliminaries. And of course, I will also be at the Warburg Brawl. So come on out and keep me company!

Alright all you PvPers, I have to say it: I’ve had enough. I’m tired of chasing you all over the zones cause I can never catch up. I’m tired of all the zipping and jumping that makes me dizzy. I’m sick of getting hit upside the head with a range-boosted fireball when I think I’ve made a clean escape. I’m tired of hitting that emp dead-on with a snipe only to see “Unaffected” over her head. I’m sick of being web-naded from my safe spot in the sky, and weary of throwing up last night's meatloaf when I swoop in to nuke a mastermind. I’m tired of tiptoeing into the zone for a badge for an accolade and getting stomped by a big, mean scrapper. Tired of being held, slept, irradiated, slowed, ASed, and I’m so over that hospital. OVER IT! So your time has come and ya wanna know why? Cause I got people.

Yeah, that’s right. You heard me. I got people.

From my travels all over Paragon and the Rogue Isles, I’ve accrued quite a bunch of favors to be called in. So you better watch your back. I’m calling in all those favors and making sure those that fear me best play along and do what I say. To me they will rally and you, my friend, are going down. Hard.

Gladiator Event
Saturday, June 23rd at 5 pm PST/8 pm EST
Pocket D Monkey Bar Arena Kiosks

Come one, come all, PvErs, casual PvPers, badgers, and PvP people! It’s time to level the field! You wanted an event where you could all compete and have a good time and this is it! Get out your Cogs and Button Man Gunners and come on down!

This arena event is open to all levels, heroes and villains alike. We will be running this 1 v 1 unless there is a massive turnout in which case we will do groups of 4 free for alls. Events will be run at the level of the lowest level participant. For example, if you are a 50 paired with a 30, you will run the event at welterweight (27-31). We will run this until there is only one contestant remaining. You are welcome to change your gladiators in-between events.

Prizes! For the first five people to RSVP to this event (and actually show up and participate) you will be the proud recipient of a COH bumper sticker! The last two finalists will win a fine array of really cool COX swag, courtesy of NcSoft and the community coordinators! The grand prize for first place is a time card for 60 days of free game time, courtesy of yours truly. However, the tournament winner will have to face my mastermind, Azrharn's gladiators for a final championship round to get it!

RSVPs definitely preferred, here in this thread or to @azrhiaz. Signups will also be taken in the hour prior to the event. The rules and arena/gladiator how-to’s will be given at the start time, though if you have never done a gladiator event you are welcome to ask for more information in this thread.

Double XP Weekend Jun 15-17

Time to level those alts! Double XP weekend started today to end on Sunday, June 17. I've been looking forward to this but I may not be able to participate fully. I had a really bad storm to come through on Wednesday. We are still recovering from it. I lost 3 routers & now only one computer can get on the internet. And with 4 COH/COV accounts, thats not good. LOL I will try to get on because I really want to get some levels in before this event ends.

PvP Event Committee UPRISING

Well as many of you know, the PvPEC is finally kicking off the first event (of three) of the summer Good versus Evil event. I will be available on tonight @ 7 pm PST in Pocket D to answer questions about the event, the formats involved, and how to get on test so you can show up to claim your yellow titles or hopefully win a prize!

Kickoff Party in Pocket D @ 6 pm pacific/9 pm eastern
Come join us for a bit of fun in Pocket D. Friday's events will be covered by Woot radio and there will special appearances by Lighthouse and ExLibris! There will be yellow titles given away as well as some CoX swag raffles!

Siren's Call Brawl @ 7pm PST/10pm EST
After the Kickoff Party, we will make haste to Siren's Call to kick the bejesus out of each other. This promises to be a smackdown of all smackdowns and you never know exactly who is going to show up to stomp on your face! ExLibris and Lighthouse wlll be in attendance for sure so make sure to come out and let them know how you feel about them moderating your last post!

Showcase 8x8 Event
Some of the top PvP teams we have on CoX will be showcasing their talents in the Pocket D arena so we encourage you to come down, observe the matches and check out their mad skills. We have also opened it up to those stout-hearted enough to want to try their mettle against them!

I will be attending most of the events on Test this weekend. I will also be giving Ahne Toreph a spin in the Lethal Lottery Saturday night. I will be helping run the Lethal Lottery at noon as well and if you wanted a more casual event, this one is the one to attend. I have a few people on board to join me (like Deep, Violet, and Zero perhaps) so hopefully the rest of ya'll will come out and support the event

Vixens' First Raid

The Vixens of Paragon just held there first raid with the Lords of Olympus 5/19 @ 5pm pst. It was a great time. We kept the sides even as Chica put her lvl50 in the Lords sg to it would be 3vs3. But they had 3 50s while my alt, Sultry vxn (lvl 25) and Ice Chill (lvl 34) were the lowbies. At least we had Nurse vxn as the capable lvl 50 Defender to keep us buffed & healed. Soon after Loraxe (lvl50) joined us and we were set. All though we didn't take out any of the anchors (& boy we were close!) it was still a decent run. We had trouble with disconnects throughout the raid. Also had a problem with actually trying to join the raid. It seems that if you were inside the base, you would not receive a prompt for the raid until you exited. If you were outside the base, you would need to enter to receive the raid join prompt. All in all it was a fun evening.

Issue 9 now available!

With the long server maintenance scheduled, it was a given that Issue 9 would go live yesterday. Also May 1 starts off the three year anniversary for City of Heroes. The badge Merrymaker is given upon logging in. To see what Issue 9 has to offer read it all here.
